The particular site at Naggar, Kullu, offers spectacular views of the valley interspersed with 80 -90 ft. tall pine trees. As a design strategy to utilize the steep slope effectively without being uncomfortable for the guests, we used a stepped section profile. With this particular planning not only did we get an advantage of unobstructed vistas and privacy required for every room but also, the roof for each unit was designed as a terrace garden for the unit above it.
Programmatically, the resort comprises of the reception-lounge and a coffee shop at the connecting road level. Each of the cottage dwelling is planned with a living space that incorporates a fireplace, a large Jacuzzi (in executive suites) and an outdoor private terrace garden. At the heart of the resort we placed a multipurpose performance amphitheatre various cultural activities planned for the entertainment of the guests in the evenings.
