House for Rahat and Samir

How does one visually describe, ‘the sublime’ or what constitutes the symphonic ballet of bright white light”.

We started an experiment with space during a design of a house interior for a young couple in NOIDA. Combining modern materials like corian, acrylic and aluminum, sculpting ethereal forms and melting various curves to form a holistic ‘bliss’ we referred to it as ‘Depths in WHITE’.

We used Corian, commonly known as the kitchen counter stone in India, to create amorphous furniture and shelves due to its fluid thermo bending properties. The play of the fluid sheets was enhanced using concealed strips of LED’s, especially in the master bedroom where the  graphics of the space are heightened as with  the blue LEDs lit, the whole room gets dramatized with the ‘sensuality of lit turquoise grid bursting from the silver foiled tiles.
